    boxingManila, Philippines – Five Filipino boxers will compete in the Asian Men Boxing Championships slated April 1-8 in Astana, Kazakhstan.

    Crack boxers from more than 40 countries are seeing action in the tournament, a qualifying event for the 2012 London Olympics.

    Kazakhstan’s Scat Air Starts Chartered Flights To Langkawi

    langkawi-mapScat Air of Kazakhstan is making two chartered flights to Langkawi to bring tourists to the tax free island resort.

    The first arrived Wednesday while the other is scheduled for Jan 14.

    A traditional welcome complete with ‘kompang’ (small hand-held drum) beating greeted the 200 passengers when the plane landed at the Langkawi International Airport at about 10am this morning.

    Etihad to boosts services to Almaty in Kazakhstan

    January 4th, 2012

    etihadEtihad Crystal Cargo – the cargo division of award-winning Etihad Airways – is preparing to launch a second weekly dedicated freighter operation between Abu Dhabi and Almaty in Kazakhstan.

    The additional freighter service will commence January 8th 2012, using an Airbus A330-200F freighter with a payload of 59 metric tonnes.
