Institute of Directors, 116, Pall Mall, London, SW1Y 5ED
Bonded by culture, language and religion, the Turkish-Azerbaijani relationship is unique. Mustafa Kemal Ataturk stated: “Azerbaijan’s grief and happiness are our own,” and Heydar Aliyev, former Azerbaijani President, commented that: “Turkey and Azerbaijan are one nation in two states.” Despite this, the past 18 months have seen temporary rifts in bilateral relations, caused by a range of factors. TEAS is thus delighted to welcome Ünal Çevikoz, Turkish Ambassador to London, to speak on the current and future alliance between the nations.
