    Report on the demonstrations held in London

    EU information sessions organized in Baku and GanjaEuropean Commission information sessions to facilitate Azerbaijani exporters’ access to European markets are organized in Baku and Ganja.

    European consumers are interested in Azerbaijani products and Azerbaijani businesses are interested in selling on the EU market. For that reason, the European Union Delegation in Baku in cooperation with Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economic Development is organizing two workshops to inform Azerbaijani producers on how to export to the EU.     Tourism development issues to be discussed in Dushanbe

    July 6th, 2010

    A republican seminar to discuss issue related to development of tourism in Tajikistan will take place in Dushanbe on July 6, according to the Ministry of Culture (MoC).

    The source at a MoC says the seminar is conducted within the framework of announcement of Dushanbe as Capital of Islamic Culture in 2010.

    “The seminar participants are expected to discuss the significance of the revival Great Silk Road for development of tourism, government’s support for development of tourism in Tajikistan, development of the Zarafshon tourism zone, tourism products manufacturing and other issues,” the source said.

    Creation biometric passport system in Uzbekistan

    Oberthur Technologies S.A. (France) will participate in a project on creating biometric passport system in Uzbekistan.

    French company signed a contract with the cost of US$75.1 million euros with the State Personalization System under the Cabinet of Ministers on the results of the close tender within the project “Creating biometric passport system in Uzbekistan”. Read more »
