The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the Health Information Centre at the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan have conducted an informational seminar for TV and radio journalists of the central and provincial newspapers and magazines, representatives of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan. The theme of the seminar was the international experience of the media in emergencies.

The seminar participants listened to a brief overview of the international experience of media to prevent the pandemic of diseases made by the international expert, well-known consultant on communications Guy Scandlen (USA). He also talked about the most effective methods of informing the public through the preparation of special materials and reports.
