Bishkek (AKIpress) – Days of Culture of Turkmenistan were launched at the National Philharmonic Hall at the weekend.
The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of Kyrgyzstan Altynbek Maksutov, People’s Artist and Director of the National Philharmonic Hall of Turkmenistan Annaguly Muratdurdiyev, Turkmen Ambassador Batyr Niyazliyev, diplomatic representatives, residents and guests of Bishkek.
“Days of Turkmen Culture are held for the first time in Kyrgyzstan thanks to successful implementation of the previously signed memorandum between the two countries on cooperation in the field of culture,” said the Kyrgyz Minister.
Annaguly Muratdurdiyev added that Days of Turkmen Culture in Kyrgyzstan are the result of the meeting of the heads of state and the agreement signed for friendship, mutual understanding and cooperation development.
Thus, a concert was held with participation of honored artists of Turkmenistan who performed traditional and modern Turkmen songs and dances.
Program of the culture days included an exhibition of paintings and traditional crafts of Turkmenistan, as well as screening of a feature film My Friend Melekush directed by Mukhammed Soyukhanov.
