Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Fund Forum Gulnara Karimova awarded masters of arts and crafts with grants in a major project of the Foundation and the Association of Artists, Art and Craftsmen “Izhod” – Exhibition and Fair “Bazar-Art”, which gathered under the dome of the Center of National Arts in Tashkent, the best folk artists from all over Uzbekistan.
Exhibition, which opened on March 27, 2010, on the first three days was visited by more than three thousand guests, among whom were people of culture and art, representatives of the diplomatic corps, international organizations, the media, as well as connoisseurs of products made by the hands of the masters of applied art.
The project “Bazar-Art” Foundation Forum traditionally grants masters who are the winners of the exhibition. Grants are aimed at further development of applied arts, the revival of endangered species of handicraft and traditional art forms of Uzbekistan.
By the evaluation of the jury, Gulnara Karimova awarded six winners of the exhibition with diplomas, as well as grants to two representatives of creative dynasties for the preservation of traditional arts. The program was created to promote the employment of young women. Modern sewing machines for small business and home work were presented to women from various regions of the country.
Trade Fair “Bazar-Art” started its work since 2007; there are approximately 100 artists from all areas of the country in all areas of arts and crafts. These artists are hereditary craftsmen, professional artists, as well as new talents.
