Hollywood reporter arrives in Bishkek to review Kurmanjan Datka historical film

Journalist of a leading U.S. magazine, Hollywood Reporter, Nick Holdsworth has arrived in Bishkek to review the Kurmanjan Datka historical film, the press service of the Aitysh Film Studio reported on April 30.

The journalist met with the film director, Sadyk Sher-Niyaz, in Moscow in June 2013. “He is interested in the new historical film project. Holdsworth also noticed that he’s already visited Kyrgyzstan, and worked on the projects implemented in our country,” the statement said.

Nick Holdsworth added he is interested in the project as its budget is small but the story itself is large-scale. He also intends to assist the film and present it to the foreign audience.

The journalist will stay in Kyrgyzstan until May 2.

The premiere of the Kurmanjan Datka film was scheduled for May 27.
