On June 4, 2010, in the jazz club “Iridium”, New York, a famous Kyrgyz jazz pianist Eldar Dzhangirov gave an amazing concert. At a concert Eldar has masterly performed compositions he had work out alone and in trio. The technique of his play amazed the guests of the evening. Eldar’s countrymen from Kyrgyzstan came to enjoy the concert and after it they had a chance to get to know and interact with the artist.
Eldar was born and lived in Kyrgyzstan, but since 1996, he lives in the U.S. with his parents. In Bishkek, he studied at the music school named after Shubin. When he was 9 years old, at a festival in Novosibirsk, his future sponsor – Charles Mack Warter was so struck by the boy’s abilities, that he organized his visit to the United States. Eldar got a scholarship to study at a summer camp for gifted children at the Center for the Arts in Interlockene for 4 years in Michigan. In America he has won various competitions in category of “Piano”, and thanks to Virginia Wick at age 15, Eldar has released the first album, which was peer-reviewed by major jazz publications. Eldar debuted in Los Angeles Jazz Bakery, spoke at the Lionel Hampton festival, and recently was nominated for “Grammy» awards. His albums are released by a well-known record company, SONY. Currently there are 3 albums: the debut album «Eldar» was reissued in March 2005, the second album «Live at the Blue Note» in May 2006, «re-imagination» in June 2007 and 25 August 2009 was released the album «Virtue».
Now Eldar is 23 years old and he lives in New York. A Life of this musician is full of performances, recordings and tours worldwide.
