Kyrgyzstan signs an agreement on participation in Expo-2017

Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan signed an agreement on participation of our country in the Expo-2017. The signing took place today at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan – the Commissioner Rapil Zhoshybayev, Expo 2017 will be held under the slogan “Energy of Future” and cover one of the topical issues of the international community – alternative energy sources. “We expect the participation of about one hundred countries and international organizations. There will be demonstrations of achievements in the field of renewable energy sources and their benefits – ecological compatibility, low cost of operation. There is a great interest in the exhibition. At the moment, preparations are in full swing,” Rapil Zhoshybayev notes.

“You could present all the tourist possibilities of Issyk-Kul, the use of alternative sources of energy in Issyk-Kul region, the possibility of using thermal sources and more. Our businessmen are showing interest in connection with opening of the airport in Tamchi,” he said.

The President of the Kyrgyz Chamber of Commerce and Industry Marat Sharshekeev told news agency, the exhibition is dedicated to “green energy”. “Today the atmosphere emissions are huge, natural resources are used not very cost-conscious and a lot funds are spend to get the resources. Therefore theme is very relevant. At the exhibition we have to show all abilities. KR today is one of the most ecologically preserved countries,” Marat Sharshekeev says.

“The issue of funding is acute. Despite the government’s order to the Ministry of Finance to allocate money, the ministry said that they have no funds,” he added.

The exhibition will be held from June 10 to September 10, 2017 in Astana city.
