Magnus Marsden is Senior Lecturer in Social Anthropology with Reference to South and Central Asia at SOAS. He is the author of Living Islam: Muslim religious experience in Pakistan’s North West Frontier (Cambridge, 2005) and, with Ben Hopkins, Fragments of the Afghan Frontier (Hurst/Columbia, 2011), as well as other edited volumes and articles in scholarly journals.
