Avicenna Conference: A Forum for PhD and Research Master’s Students from Uzbekistan studying in the UK

Cambridge University Uzbekistan Society and Cambridge Central Asia Forum announces call for papers for the first multidisciplinary conference for Uzbek graduate students doing original research projects in the UK. The Avicenna Conference will take place in Cambridge, March 12-13, 2011. All major academic disciplines ranging from science and technology and social and political science to humanities will be covered. There will be also sessions on multi and interdisciplinary topics.  The goal of the conference is to provide an opportunity for Uzbek students in the UK to exchange ideas and bring them together with world renowned senior British academics. This is an excellent opportunity for Uzbek students to showcase their academic potential and to get feedback from top British academics as well as network with their peers and establish personal connections in universities all over the UK. Some senior academics from Uzbeksitan are expected to be present at the meeting also.
