Turkmenistan celebrated Harvest Festival - Galla Bayramy
According to tradition, Turkmenistan celebrated the national holiday – Galla Bayramy on July 18, which is the third Sunday of the month. This remarkable holiday was celebrated with a grand festive program, which included scientific forums, art exhibitions, fairs, competitions, concerts and sporting events. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent a congratulatory message to grain growers and machine operators and all the fellow countrymen on the occasion of Galla Bayramy.
“The growth of the agricultural industry of Turkmenistan to the current level, further improvement of social conditions of rural populations, full support to a farmer, abundance of wheat, cotton, vegetables and melons, ensuring a prosperous life of the people these are the basic directions of our agrarian reform, the message said. We have made a decisive step towards the transformation of the Turkmen villages, improving the organization of agricultural work, creating the abundance of agricultural products. In a word, we have made significant progress in this area and agriculture-related industries.”
The president said that “the results of hard work of farmers of Turkmenistan became a worthy gift to the 19th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence, a guarantee of welfare, prosperity and stability of the state, an inexhaustible source of the generosity of the ancient and eternally young Turkmen land.”
The first stage of construction of the Altyn Asyr Turkmen Lake in Ak Yayla settlement was completed last year. Belarus to host Days of Culture of Turkmenistan on June 8-12
On June 8-12, the Republic of Belarus will host the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan. This was reported by Vice-premier of the Turkmen government Maysa Yazmuhammedova during a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of strengthening the fruitful Turkmen-Belarusian contacts in the humanitarian field and issued instructions to ensure the high level of organization of the activities.
The Turkmen leader spoke in favor of further expansion of the international cultural dialogue to promote the rich spiritual and historical and cultural heritage of the nation. “We need to adequately represent the culture of the Turkmen people in the world,” he said.
The ceremony of opening the Days of Friendship of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan took place at Magtymguly Turkmen National Musical and Drama Theatre. The cultural action organized by the Embassy of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Ministry of Culture and Broadcasting of Turkmenistan vividly illustrates the firm ties of friendship between two fraternal nations and intensification of the versatile dialogue between two countries.
