Internationally Acclaimed Violinist, Nazrin Rashidova

On the 24th of June, Azerbaijani-British violin virtuoso, Nazrin Rashidova will be performing Mozart’s great Sinfonia Concertante with Jon Thorne, Bob Porter and the Brandenburg Sinfonia in Thaxted Church, in Thaxted.

Nazrin Rashidova, aged 23, is marking her 20th anniversary on stage this year, having given her solo debut at the age of three. She was an experienced international performer by the time the Cairo Opera House awarded her a gold medal after an exceptional recital as a six-year-old.

She joined The Purcell School of Music in 1995 and was accepted to The Royal Academy of Music at the age of 15.

Nazrin has given numerous concerts and recitals in the U.S.A, France, Germany, Poland, Egypt, Japan and in London at the Wigmore Hall, Purcell Room, Cadogan Hall, St. Martin-in-the Fields, St. John’s Smith Square and Westminster Central Hall.

This much travelled, highly accomplished young violinist has also played at Buckingham and St. James’ Palaces for HRH The Prince of Wales. Continue reading

FeMusa String Ensemble will play at St. John’s Smith Square on November 7 at 7.30pm when it will be joined by renowned British mezzo-soprano, Louise Winter. It follows the ensemble’s second outing at St James’s Church, Piccadilly, last November which was featured on BBC World News. Continue reading
