Kazakhstan to Host Trade and Investment Forum in New York

The Embassy of Kazakhstan will be hosting the Fourth Annual Kazakhstan – U.S. Trade and Investment Forum 2011 on December 7 in New York.

This year the Forum is organized by the Government of Kazakhstan and Newsdesk Media Inc. in partnership with Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund. The event coincides with the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan-US diplomatic relations and the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s sovereign independence, marking two decades of internationally acclaimed stability and economic, financial and industrial achievement. Larry King, Former Host of CNN’s Larry King Live to Moderate the VI KAZENERGY Eurasian Forum in Astana, Kazakhstan

The Forum will take place at the Palace of Independence on October 4-5, 2011 in Astana, Kazakhstan.

The VI KAZENERGY Forum will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and will focus on 20 Years of Sustainable Growth, New Horizons of Investments and Stable Cooperation.

On June 4, 2010, in the jazz club “Iridium”, New York, a famous Kyrgyz jazz pianist Eldar Dzhangirov gave an amazing concert. At a concert Eldar has masterly performed compositions he had work out alone and in trio. The technique of his play amazed the guests of the evening. Uzbek journalists will be trained in the UN headquarters in New YorkUN Information Centre in Uzbekistan announced a contest for journalists for an internship, which is headquartered in the United Nations in New York.

The IPS UN Bureau has an internship programme for a minimum of four weeks and a maximum of three months. The programme is open primarily to those aspiring to be journalists — and specially those interested in covering UN-related issues, including poverty, human rights, health care, refugees, children, disarmament, peacekeeping, gender empowerment and sustainable development.
