Tajikistan, January 25, 2011 – Necia Quast, Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy, visited Chashmasor Village in the Faizobod District to officially handover a newly rehabilitated community water system. The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) funded the work through its Tajikistan Safe Drinking Water Project. The ceremony featured songs by local children and statements of appreciation by community leaders. The new water system will provide a reliable supply of safe, clean drinking water to 590 local inhabitants in the Village of Chashmasor.
