Today, 27th of August there are guests from more then 60 countries and
Goverment delegates the worlds attention will be next  6 days in
Samarkand to VIII International Music Festival “Sharq taronalari” in Samarkand!

International Music Festival “Sharq Taronalari” is organized every
two years by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Islam Karimov,
with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sport  of the Republic of the Uzbekistan,
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Uzbekistan , the National Broadcasting
Company of Uzbekistan, Uzbek Composers’ Union and the Mayor Office of the Samarkand region.
The main purpose of the festival included a program of cultural activities of UNESCO – the
preservation of traditions of national musical art  around  the world, connecting countries in
the centre of ancient Samarkand – “pearl of the Orient” in Registan
square.
We have already met with worlds famous singer Al-Bano ( Albano
Carrisi-Italian singer) in Samarkand, he will aslo will take part with his songs in opening
ceremony in Samarkand.

Also in 1 september we will celebrate our Independence day, already 20
years old for our independence, this event will be broadcated as well
too.
Starting from September 2011 the trip from Tashkent to Samarkand will take only 2 hours!
A brand new super-fast electrical train from the Spanish Company Patentes Talgo S. A. now in Tashkent.
It covers the distance from Tashkent to Samarkand within two hours on the speed of 200 km/ h. Today,
it takes tree 3 hours to cover this root on the ordinary super-fast electrical train, by car or bus up to 5 hours.
The new Spanish train has been named Afrosiab — sort of symbol that represents close relationships between the
Republic of Uzbekistan and Spain.
The Talago Trains can be operated on the speeds up to 350km/h in high-speed running.
In future, this root will be extended to Bukhara and Khiva.
