Workshop “Kazakhstan’s OSCE Chairmanship: Results and New Prospects” was held in Brussels on July 14, 2010. Deputies of the European Parliament, representatives of European institutions, non-governmental organizations, diplomatic corps and international experts took part in the workshop. The organizer of the event was the Kazakh Mission to the European Union.
As Kazakh Ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg, European Union and NATO Yerik Utembayev said at the opening, definite conclusions can be drawn upon the results of the 6 months chairmanship and define future work.
“An Informal meeting of the OSCE Foreign Ministers will be held in Almaty in a few days. The main issues of the foreign policy and holding of the first in ten years OSCE Summit are expected to be discussed there”, the Head of the Kazakh diplomatic mission said.
The participants of the workshop complimented the effectiveness of the presidency of our country in the Organization and the importance of conduction of the OSCE Summit in Kazakhstan.
